ANT welcomes university students of all ages to participate in our work through internships. There are a number of ways to support our programs, events, office, and animals while gaining valuable experience for your field. Previous interns have come to us through a variety of departments, including: Human Services, Education, Recreation, Psychology, Communication, and Business.
Our primary intern opportunity is Youth Mentor, a support position in our after-school groups working with children (ages 6-18) & horses. We seek mature, motivated, compassionate, and professional individuals to help guide our youth through 10-week sessions as they confront and work through challenges with their horses.
Other opportunities include Events & Fundraising Support, assisting with the planning & facilitation of our major fundraisers; and IT/Website Development, providing tech support and helping to create & update online content. All interns are required to attend a volunteer orientation (program interns will also be required to complete Horse Handling & Mentoring Trainings) and adhere to ANT’s volunteer policies.
At this time we are only able to offer part-time internships (no more than 12 hours per week).
