Learning Life

The Learning Life Project encompasses collaborations with schools, serving students through equine experiential growth and learning methods.

Schools contract for weekly group sessions or half day experiential workshops, and other school-based partnerships. Youth work on individual relationship skills with their own horse and also group team-building and problem-solving skills. Learning Life Project includes our new Leadership/ Bully Awareness workshops for middle school youth and a service learning component where youth take our ANT animals to visit elders through Mobile ANT.

Programs Include:

  • Group Equine Sessions (Quarterly)
  • Leadership & Bully Awareness 2-Day Workshop
  • Service Learning with Mobile ANT

Are you an educator, administrator, or school counselor interested in partnering with ANT? Please contact the program coordinator for more information!

Testimonials

“As of November 25th, Shuksan Middle School has not suspended one single student out of school. There are a whole host of interventions and programs that lead to this type of success, but undoubtedly, our work with ANT made an impact for twenty youth, who have gone on to impact their peers. Thank you for your partnership. You do amazing work in our community on behalf of youth who need it the most.”
–Sharece Steinkamp, School Counselor

“I learned that being a leader doesn’t mean that you always make the right choices but it does mean that when you make bad choices you fix them.”
–D. Age 12

“I learned that I need to stop the problem at the source, but in a kind way.”
